Luke 1:26-35 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
We rejoice today because we are grateful to be a blessed company, part of the highly favoured one of the Lord. A company that has been called and chosen in Christ even before the foundation of the world. Part of a company that does not know the ways of man, does not follow the traditions of man that opposes the word of God, does not follow the religious practices of man the nullifies the move of the Spirit of God.
Prayer declaration
Father in the name of Jesus we thank you today that you are mindful of us, that You visit us. You have highly favoured us and crown us with glory and honour. You have given us dominion over the works of your hands and have put all things under our feet. We worship you Jesus because angels, authorities and powers are subject unto you.
Holy Spirit we appreciate and honour You, because you lead us and guide us into all truth. We pray today for a greater outpouring of your Holy Spirit, a greater time of refreshing from your presence. The overshadowing power of the Highest, so that we may acknowledge and express that you live inside of us, to teach, to instruct us in righteousness, to comfort us, to bring to remembrance your word, to always lead us, to show us things to come.
Thank you Holy Spirit you quicken our mortal bodies and help us put to death the works of the flesh.
Thank you Holy Spirit that you reveal to us Gods will for our lives, to bring forth the Christ. For the whole of creation groans for the manifestation of the true sons of God. As Christ is revealed through us., let it be said for truly God is among them, for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, and the people who are enveloped by the Spirit of God.
